Small Brands Christmas Gift Guide

Small Brands Christmas Gift Guide

Christmas gift buying guide

You still haven’t finished your Christmas shopping? Neither have I. 😊My heart rate is going up when I think of it, but it’s been really stressful lately.

Since this year shopping small is particularly important, I decided to share here some of my favourite small brands and to give you some ideas for last-minute beautiful gifts. I have either bought their products already or know the owners and know how much passion they put into creating their products.

Food, Drink, Wellbeing

Nutmad – healthy treats by yours truly. The snack box with five portion size bags of delicious activated nuts in different flavours is a popular Christmas present, as is the maple syrup multipack including award-winning salted maple walnuts and maple and rosemary cashews. I’m happy to add a personal message from you to the recipient, just leave me a note at checkout.

Coffee and Kin –  a family business run by Ruth and her husband Mark, who believe that the speciality coffee shop experience can also be enjoyed in your kitchen, in an eco-friendly way. Coffee & Kin helps you offer seriously tasty compostable coffee capsules, freshly roasted coffee beans and gorgeous Coffee & Chocolate box. They have a range of different gifts for coffee lovers, including a Coffee & Chocolate Box (which you can buy as a one-off gift or purchase a 3 months gift subscription), coffee bean and coffee capsule subscriptions and handmade mugs. They also donate a % of their sales to The Blurt Foundation – helping young people and adults affected by depression in the UK.

OneCake makes not just cakes but also delicious Christmas cookies.

I usually trust Maria with the birthday cakes for my children but I think this year I will be getting some of those pretty cookies.

Small and Wild make ethically sourced, naturally caffeine-free herbal and fruit tea for kids with no added sugar all in plastic-free packaging. Visit their webshop to also find a selection of beautiful hand-finished mugs and children’s gift sets. I’ve already bought them as stocking fillers this Christmas.

INSPIRIKO Personally, I love this product. Cosmic Energy is a blend of ancient adaptogen super herbs, organic premium matcha and aromatic spices.  It is specially formulated for women, allowing you to tackle the undesirable effects of stress and mid-day energy slumps so that you can feel strong and energised throughout the day. A real energy booster without the jitters, energy crashes and toxic energy drinks. Get 20% off throughout the holiday season with a discount code BEKIND2020.

Family time:

The Dark Imp Board Games – Ellie Dixon started The Dark Imp with the idea to help parents to reclaim family time and create an irresistible offline world – which can be a struggle when you have kids in the house. The games are obviously great for anyone, who likes playing and also make a fantastic Christmas present.

Ellie kindly offered us a 10% discount, make sure you use discount code nuttygames10 at check out.

Children’s books by Clare Luther – These are one of my go-to presents for kids’ birthdays. Many young children struggle with tricky emotions in their everyday lives.  Clare writes thoughtful rhyming stories, beautifully illustrated by Maria Floyd, to help children (3-8 years old) gently explore their thoughts and feelings and encourage parents to get conversations started. Perfect books to snuggle up with and read together with this Christmas.

Home

Meggy and Me – a handmade cushion boutique, which specialises in fabrics sourced from around the world. The range includes Grain sack and linens from Provence, Mudcloth from Mali, Vintage Hmong from Thailand and beautiful hand-loomed textiles from India, made into beautiful cushions in Leah’s UK studio. All orders come with complimentary gift wrap and so makes the perfect gift for any cushions lover and let’s face it who isn’t??

Rattygolightly creates timeless keepsakes. Christmas cards, fine china mugs, wall art and luxurious tea towels – all of it with a bright and bold print with a serious message of fun. The images are hand-drawn by founder Laurie herself. All products are designed and printed in Suffolk, England. A4 size and featuring artist’s signature.

Milk & Mustard is all about believing in your own individuality, bringing contemporary, colourful prints and greetings cards to add positivity and cheer to your life and walls! Founded by Wimbledon mum Marisa, each print is an original design. And printed in Wimbledon with care and quality at the heart.

Clara Castner – beautiful handmade porcelain vases, tea light holders and Christmas decorations to compliment your home. All made by Clara in the UK. Natural surfaces inspired her work: rock surfaces eroded by time, bark, water. A beautiful combination of colour and texture.

Fashion & Beauty

Mamalife London is a stylish clothing company selling slogans tops that many mothers and women instantly relate to. I have a T-shirt with the Never Off Duty slogan, which I love. Founder Beth Campana also has a YouTube channel, where she shares some great styling tips.

Penelope Hope – inspired by holidays and travels to tropical paradises (who wouldn’t be there right now?) founder Nadia Newton creates fun and colourful designs. Her products include accessories, leggings and homeware. She even has some Christmas stockings.

Vivaansie – A collection of individually embroidered, extra-fine Italian Merino Wool tops designed by founder Anna herself.

They are a slim fitting and flattering style that can take you from day to night-work place to fun place!

They are intended to be a top for life, a timeless and simple style which is unique to Vivaansie. The 100% extra fine Merino Wool is of the best quality from one of Italy’s oldest mills. I have one of their t-shirts and basically lived in it this summer. This Christmas I’m treating myself to one of the merino tops. 😊

Clea Silk  Whether it be a talisman, healing stone or charm, jewellery is more than just a trinket for Clea Silk. Founder Charlie Silk wants each piece to mean something to the person who wears it. Clea Silk is Ibiza inspired jewellery for the urban hippie. They have just launched two new collections, The Winter Edit & Clea Silk Bespoke, g0 check them out!

Ermana Natural Skincare – the Ermana minis gift set is the perfect way to try this amazing skincare range.

The 3 step skincare minis set includes:

1) 20ml Refine cleansing oil, 2) 20ml Hydrate organic rose mist and 3) 5ml Revive face oil and a cotton face cloth. Everything you need for your skincare routine, all packed in our Ermana box with beautiful botanical illustration. Founder Claire created Ermana due to her own problems with allergies and sensitive skin and she did extremely well. I’ve used the Revive face oil myself and love it.

I hope you’re able to find some Christmas gift ideas here. But most important, enjoy the festive season. This year, it is very different from what we’re used to, but we need to make the most of it.

Happy shopping!
